Indonesia has set to achieve 10% jump in investment (FDI and LDI) in 2009. In 2008, Indonesia booked net FDI of $17 billion, the highest in Southeast Asia. Whether Indonesia remains competitive to attract foreign investors, and remains top destination in ASEAN countries, will be proven this year.
I think, $18-20 billion figure is achievable, as long as no drastic change in policy, and security. In Q1 2009, Indonesia managed to secure $7.5 billion already.
