The Hydrant In Slovakia

The Hydrant In Slovakia

I am sure you must be puzzled by the tittle of this article. Well, that’s okay, many would be puzzled too. I am not too sure whether Bratislava is a familiar name to you, but to me… it is. Bratislava used to be the 2nd biggest city in the Czechoslovakia after Prague, and when Czechs and Slovak decided to separate from each other to become two independent nations, Bratislava became the capital city of Slovakia, while Czechs keeps Prague as the capital city.

You now must be wondering what is so great about Bratislava and Slovakia that it is now becoming a posting on GNFI? An Indonesian rock band, named the HYDRANT rocked the country from 18-22 July 2009. Tens of thousand of Slovakian youths bang their heads following the beat of each of the Hydrant’s song. It is said that they were  very surprised with the quality of the music, and how it moved them along with the rhythm.
