Indosat Leads The Way

Indosat, one of the most innovative telecom providers in Indonesia, just announced that it would invest at least $12 million to install BTS (Base Transceiver Station) in 48 commercial airplanes serving international routes. It will spend at least $250,o00 per plane for this purpose, to enable you, me, and everybody to call/accept calls, SMS, MMS, and surf the net. Blackberry users are welcome. As many as 47 Emirates planes, and 1 Malaysia Airlines plane will be their first clients.

After those two, there’ll be Saudi Arabian Airlines, Virgin Australia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, dan Qantas Airways, queuing up for the same service from Indosat.

So, anyone can stay online 24/7.

Indosat, the pride of Indonesia.
