What? The new terminal of Soekarno Hatta is this cool? Great!!
Yup, it is THIS cool
For me, terminal 3 was designed differently with earlier terminals because it has more modern look with much less local ethnic ingredient. The most I like in this airport is its fabric carpet/mat in the passenger’s seating/waiting area. Then I like the freshness and the positioning design of the AC. However, in my opinion, there should be some improvements could be made to be world class airport as follows:
1. The apron and air plane view should not be blocked by any high wall or such covers.
2. The wooden like ornaments installed on its pillars are very annoying and uncomfortable, because the airport should have high quality material for its structural and its installed accessories. Please replace them with the real engraved wood ornament from Jepara. Remember, international airport is the first Indonesian window that encountered by foreigners.
3. Please equip each gate with passenger’s tunnel from airport to plane.
4. Provide more in number and better quality of automatics foods/beverages machines.
5. Let some good shop inside the passenger’s waiting area for magazine, foods/beverages and etc for passenger’s comfort.
6. Please locate some ground crew with more professional and foreign language skill (at least English).
7. Please take care and maintain the plantation as sheltered trees.
8. The last dream, I wish shortly we may have good commuter transportation among the terminals and to the downtown of Jakarta, e.g. with MRT or monorail.
I wish, somebody or any official of PT Angkasa Pura as Indonesian Airport Administrator can revisit the quality of this newest airport and make my wishes happened.
