New Kid On The Block: J.Co

New Kid On The Block: J.Co

It was only in 2007, when I was in Jakarta. My wife forced me to take her and my daughter to a J.Co counter. I did not really know what J.co was, until she said, ”It’s a donuts stall”. I was not really interested in donuts, it only made my stomach aches after swallowing 2 or 3 of them. But, J.Co is different in taste. I cannot really describe the taste, but trust me, it’s different from Dunkin Donuts or other donuts stalls. That is not my point anyway.

J.CO Donuts is a bakery retailer in Indonesia specializing in donuts and coffee. The company is owned and managed by Johnny Andrean Group. J.CO Donuts & Coffee began trading in 2005.

J.Co is the fastest growing donuts & coffee chain in South-East Asia. Within a short span of 2.5 years, J.Co has grown to 30 outlets in 9 cities in Indonesia. Now, it has many more and more outlets in Indonesia, as well as in Malaysia, and Singapore.

J.Co Singapore (Bugis Junction)

I managed to visit J.Co donuts at Bugis Junction, Singapore yesterday. I was happy, that it was packed with young people, and they said that they really liked the taste. I also saw some people bought boxes of donuts to take home. In Singapore, J.Co has 4 outlets, Vivo City, Raffles City, Bugis junction, and Tampines 1. Before J.Co set foot in Singapore, Singaporeans went to Batam just to get them.

They’ll open up more, I guess. And Australia, HongKong, Philippine are believed to be their next target.
