Office of the Ministry of Commerce pointed to Garuda Indonesia as the official airlines in the event of Expo 2010 Shanghai which is going to be held from May 1 until October 31, 2010.

During the half year to become a partner delegates from Indonesia, the airline is targeting to increase passengers on its Jakarta-Shanghai route between 6000 to 12,000 passengers.

Garuda president director, Satar, said passengers annually spelled solid route is 50,000 to 60,000 passengers. “This cooperation is expected to increase passengers from Jakarta to Shanghai, 10 percent to 20 percent,” said Emirsyah after signing the MoU with the Ministry of Trade, Mari Elka Pangestu in Jakarta.

Commercial Director of Garuda, Agus Priyanto said that due to this cooperation, in addition to being the official airline, Garuda also handles the associations with transportation and lodging.
