Indonesian IBO 2009 team
The Merah Putih team succeeded in presenting one gold medal in the 20th International Biology Olimpiad that took place in Tsubuka, Japan on July 12-19 2009. Apart from the gold medal, the team that had a membership of 4 Senior High School students also succeeded to bring one silver medal and one bronze medal.
The gold medal was presented by Anugerah Erlaut, the student from SMU Kharisma Bangsa, Tangerang, the silver medal was presented by Irfan Haris, the student from SMU 1 Pringsewu, Lampung. While for the bronze medal was presented by Elbert Wijaya, the student SMAK I BPK Penabur, Jakarta.
The 20th IBO was followed by 221 best students from delegations of 56 countries. Some material which were competed including animal anatomy and plants, biochemistry and molecular biology, genetics and cell physiology.
