Mardi Lestari, The Fastest Man In Asia

He was not Spiderman, nor Superman. He was Mardi Lestari, one Indonesian modest person who won many medals from athletic in the 80′s. He was born in 1967, a Sumatra-born Javanese.

I can still remember, my primary school mates shared to others about Mardi Lestari, someone who brought so much pride to the nation.

He also broke many records to be the fastest man in Asia. He was the only Asian who raced in 100m in big 16, and entered the seminal against the giant Carl Lewis, Ben Johnson, and Linford Christie. In southeast asia, he won gold medals in Sea Games Kuala Lumpur 1989, Manila 1991, Singapore 1993.

Mardi Lestari, the treasure of Indonesia.
