Indonesia’s New Cozy Hotel Chain

Indonesia’s New Cozy Hotel Chain

When gigantic Air Asia launched Tune hotels as part of its business wings, it was expected that it would become a trend, boost Air Asia’s revenue. Despite its slow growth, Tune hotels firmly deepen its root. I myself had once stayed at Tune hotel, it was a cozy and nice hotel, only that the room was just too small, and I couldn’t sleep almost all nite. It made me realize that there should be at least minimum standard a hotel room should fulfill, and it’s the space!

I have been made aware that Santika Hotel, a group of Gramedia, had launched its new hotel chain named Amaris, and it just launched its 8th hotel in Yogyakarta. Amaris Hotel comes with the modern and cozy concept of providing Bed & Breakfast with comfortable beds and spacious room. And it’s cheap.

Intiland, one Indonesia’s giant property development had also launched its very own budget hotel named Whizz hotel with almost similar concept with Amaris, cozy, modern, comfy, and affordable. Intiland plans to build at least 60 Whizz hotels in the next 5 years.

I am sure, it will compete with hotels such as Formule 1, or Tunes, but that is okay. Indonesians travel a lot these days as economy is picking up quite fast.
