In Suriname, you can find more than one Javanese parties, in which people from different ethnic also join and become members. Javanese descendants amount up to 20% of total population. Since 120 years of assimilation with local people and other ethnic, Javanese gave an essential influence in term of economy, culture, and cuisine. You can easily find Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Gado Gado, Bakmi Goreng Jawa (fried noodle), etc. not only in Javanese ethnic houses, but also in most houses.
