GNFI once posted that Jakarta-based Kartika Airline planned to purchase 14 SuperJet from Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Industrie, Russia. Now, it changes the plan. It’s not 14, it’s 30. This is truly something to look forward to, as Kartika Airline will be one of the first customers of Superjet 100. Both parties, Russia’s Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and Indonesia’s regional carrier Kartika Airlines Monday inked a $951 million contract for the delivery of 30 Sukhoi Superjet-100s.

Kartika Airlines is the first airline the region to take the offer, and you..traveller bug who wanna grab first time experience onboard of special aircraft, get onboard of Kartika Airlines. It’s not Airbus, it’s not Boeing, it’s SUKHOI!

The aircraft will be shipped between 2012 and 2015.

The Superjet-100 is a family of medium-haul passenger aircraft developed by Sukhoi in cooperation with the US and European aviation corporations, including Boeing, Snecma, Thales, Messier Dowty, Liebherr Aerospace and Honeywell.
